What do I need to use HomeVolume?+
A Mac running macOS 15 or later, and Sonos speakers connected to the same local network. HomeVolume discovers your speakers over Wi-Fi and controls their playback.
Does the music play through my Mac?+
Your Sonos speakers play the music. HomeVolume is the controller on your Mac, so you can change tracks, volume and rooms without reaching for another device.
Can I use my existing Sonos favourites?+
Yes. HomeVolume reads favourites saved on your Sonos system, including supported music playlists and radio stations. Your existing favourites appear in the Library and menu bar picker.
Which music services can I browse?+
HomeVolume can browse supported services connected to your Sonos account, including Apple Music and YouTube Music, plus radio from Global Player and BBC Sounds. Availability and playback depend on the service, your region and your Sonos setup. Music catalogue browsing requires signing in to Sonos.
Is HomeVolume made by Sonos?+
HomeVolume is an independent Mac app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Sonos, Inc. Sonos is a trademark of Sonos, Inc.
